Free Groceries, etc. — The Empire (WalMart) Strikes Back!
It wasn’t but a couple of days ago when I started writing about the free groceries offers proliferating the internet when it dawned on me today, while perusing online resources, that what I thought was the “grand-daddy” of free groceries offers (at $500) really isn’t.
Everyone knows that WalMart is big, especially in the U.S., with stores scattered across the country from metropolitan areas to country hamlets. It only makes sense with their BIG presence that we’d now see a BIG offer online that would amount from double to quadruple of what most other offers give you in the way of free groceries.
Like other “free groceries” offers out there it stands to reason you’d have to do a bit of work for what you’re about to receive, but this offer appears on the surface to not require anymore than the $500 free groceries offer we recently reviewed.
The disadvantage to this offer is the fact that you have to spend it all at one store — WalMart. Is that bad? To some maybe, but to most it’s a palatable thought. After all the complaining about their methods for obtaining cheap products to sell in their store, we still usually find ourselves standing in line at the WalMart checkout counter. It’s hard to ignore or get away from, especially in today’s economy, where “cheap” is what makes what little bit is left of our economy still rotate on its axis.
The advantage to this offer is the big payout of $1000 you get simply for completing some offers. Not only that, but you don’t have to focus those dollars on free groceries (although we all have to eat and that’s what WalMart Supercenters come well-stocked with… groceries). Considering the other articles and products you find at your local WalMart, you can use this card to purchase home entertainment gadgets, clothing, or get your oil changed at their auto service center. Simply put, there’s lots of open options as to how you might want to spend that money.
While the choices are limited in terms of where you can spend this giant offer, if you don’t mind being a WalMart shopper the choices of what you can spend this on — free groceries or not — appear to be numerous.
